Change in rates 2026
Over the past year, production costs for contact lenses and contact lens solutions have increased significantly. Causes include inflation, higher raw material prices, rising staff costs and stricter legal regulations. Visser Contactlenzen is therefore forced to pass on part of this cost increase in its rates.
From 1 January 2026, the rates of our services and lenses will change. Also, service subscription rates will change from 1 April 2026. The price increases for liquids will be 1.5%.

Visser Service Subscriptions
From 1 April 2026, we will adjust the prices of Visser Service subscriptions. The changes are as follows:
- VSA – is raised with 3%
- VSB – is raised with 3%
- VSC – is raised with 3%
- VSD – is raised with 3%
- FreeView – is raised with 3%
- Medisch – is raised with 3%

Price increases for lenses
From January 1, the prices of lenses will also change. All lenses will increase by 3%.

At the end of November, De Gelderlander published an article about Visser Contactlenzen entitled ‘Two generations of craftsmanship ensure three generations of sharp vision.’ Since 1977, the family business has grown into a well-known optician’s practice. Simone Visser learned the trade from her father Rients and now continues the family business with the same passion.
