Keratoconus brought Mr. Saadi from Paris to Maastricht

Mr. Saadi has keratoconus, a condition in which the cornea becomes increasingly thin and irregularly shaped. After years of searching for suitable contact lenses in France, Mr. Saadi decided to look further abroad. Through an online search, he ended up at Visser Contact Lenses. “In France, I couldn’t find any solutions that suited my complex situation. I tried several (scleral) lenses, but they weren’t suitable and only caused more discomfort,” he says.

With a diagnosis of keratoconus and previous treatments, including a corneal transplant, Mr. Saadi knew he needed a specialist. I had never experienced this level of care before.”

Thanks to custom-made scleral lenses, Mr. Saadi can now see comfortably and sharply, a change that has had a positive impact on his daily life. After inserting his new lenses, he immediately reacted enthusiastically: “I don’t feel a thing!” he said in amazement. “No irritation, no burning sensation. I’ve never experienced this with lenses before. With previous lenses, I felt them right away.”

With a smile, he added, “The first thing I want to do when I get back to France is pick up my old hobby again: driving my sports car.”
